[OOC additional note: During the time I'd written this, I'd been hearing various rumors of Solomon's past, mainly that the name of Solomon Goldsmith was one that he'd acquired upon leaving his human life behind. This information implied that the name he'd been born with was in fact Laertes, so I went with that... BUT since then, I've gone through the series a numerous times, as well as searched for verification of this, I've come to the conclusion that it's unlikely this is the case.

{Also, I don't believe that he and Amshel are actual brothers, due to the timeline of when Amshel was human, to the point where Solomon was introduced. Perhaps a relative, or adopted into his human family, or else merely just a term adopted after he joined Diva's ranks... it's unknown.}
