Please let me apologize for inconveniencing anyone by my behavior this last weekend. It seems a sad excuse to blame a curse... but... I'm prepared to concentrate on my projects for ARTEMIS in order to find some way to stop such things from occurring again.

Lilith, I owe you a debt of gratitude for keeping me company that last night. I'm certain that I have a few less regrets due to your kindness.

Dr. Horrible, was your resigning from ARTEMIS sincere? Or shall I expect you to be back in to work this week, and explain this whole misunderstanding as merely another curse in effect?

On a side note, I will be needing to remodel my old apartment. Can anyone suggest someone who can dispose of blood stained carpet does good work?

To my friends, I won't be staying there for the forseeable future while the work is being done. You know how to reach me if you need to speak with me.

To some of my newer... friends, I apologize. My schedule is such that I'm not able to keep our acquaintance as you've experienced this weekend. I'm terribly sorry if this hurts or offends you in any way shape or form. Please try to understand and accept this. And please stop calling me. I won't answer.

Forgive me for how horribly I treated you, my friend. It means alot to me that you put yourself in such peril to protect my life and honor in such a way. I'm sorry about how inappropriately I behaved towards you, and about the whole "closet" ordeal. Please accept a gift of an extra bonus in your paycheck as my way of making this up to you. I hope it is enough, please buy yourself whatever your heart desires something nice.

Actually, it has... a bit. I'm sure your intentions are good, and I'll certainly continue working on the project, but I've found that people who ally themselves with Marishka are generally the sort of people I'd do best to avoid. No offense meant, of course.

I'm really quite regretful that you feel that way, Carl. My esteem for you hasn't diminished in the slightest bit because of this... situation. On the contrary, I consider myself rather fortunate to have been able to call you my friend. And still, wouldn't turn from you if you were in need of my aid.

But, I can respect your feelings. Is there any way I can convince you to join me for dinner to discuss this?

I know of a wonderful restaurant that we can go to. The food is fantastic, and they have a very wide selection of wine. Of course, this is my treat.

I do understand. It must have been a rather frightening thing, stumbling into such a scene, not knowing if you'd survive the experience. I really am very sorry for that. I really should have locked the door...

I'm sorry for all the blood, and for worrying you. I should express that no one was harmed. It was all (except for the small amount of my own) bagged donated blood which I'd had on hand for a special patient of mine.

Perhaps another reason I hadn't been worried when things got a little... well. I won't go into that...

But please, you don't need to ever doubt my friendship to you. I'm committed on this point.
