10th Devotion: Eradicating the City's Curses once and for all

Although I am new to the City, I am aware of the monumental undertaking in which I am taking on.

I would like to propose a collaborative effort amongst the Scientists, Doctors, and those who are versed in the Arcane Arts.

The purpose of this, is to gather information that might help us find a way to either prevent, or to ease the effects of what the populace is referring to as 'curses'. I understand that this might seem a foolish endeavor. But with combined resources on this project, I feel that we have as good of a chance as any to gain a better understanding of what we are facing. And if we are able to manage that, then the next step will be to find a way to prevent it.

Hopefully we will find others who can aid us in this project of ours. I'm eager to see who might respond and what talents they might bring to the table.

I trust that you will be able to provide a suitable out of the way place for us to devote to this project?

Funds are temporarily limited, but I am confident that I will be able to find alternative ways to build up our resources fairly quickly.

I believe you must have had an easier time of it this weekend.

You seemed rather happy when I spoke with you. Do you remember all that happened while you were in that state?

The City does seem to have a rather inopportune sense of humour. At least it rarely lasts beyond twenty four hours.

I do, indeed, and I find that my younger self seems to recall this place and those met here whenever the curse repeats itself.

That's quite interesting. This is the second instance I've encountered where a person's mind and body has been so drastically effected. The other occurrence was a case of two bodies that were switched. Unfortunately, I was not in a state where I could examine the affected individuals.

As for some good news, we have two very promising individuals joining us for our research. Mr. Zexion, and Carl. The former is a scientist, and Carl is skilled in mechanical works.

Our friend Carl has informed me that there is a clock buried in the City which is heavily protected. I'm wondering if this device might be involved in these curses somehow. Perhaps radiation, or some other transmission that somehow alters a person's behavior or body. It's an interesting concept anyway...

I'd like to set them up with work spaces as soon as possible to see what they can come up with...

I'm afraid I was also submitted to having my body exchanged with someone else's. There is nothing to which this City will not stoop.

That is welcome news indeed. I am already slightly acquainted with Carl, but I do not believe I have ever spoken with Mr Zexion. I would most certainly wish to meet with both of them.

I have heard of the clock, but did not suspect before now that there was a chance that it was related to the curses...perhaps a certain amount of observation would be in order.

We are living in exciting times, of that I am certain.

I have a couple leads that might bring us more talent to ARTEMIS. We should get together with Carl and Mr. Zexion soon to discuss the possible directions we can go with this... perhaps a tour of the new facilities when the equipment arrives?
