114th Devotion: Denial

[The Network device snaps on to show Solomon standing out on the balcony of his penthouse apartment. In front of him stands a marble tombstone, ornate with etchings of roses and twining ivy surrounding an inscription. The inscription reads:

Solomon Goldsmith

Here lies the body of dear Solomon,
Favored in bed, but merely a pawn.
Betrayed his kin with fevered desire.
Rejected by both, he then did expire.

The doctor's brow is furrowed, and he has a slight frown on his face.]

Rejected? ..................

[Minutes go by as he studies the grave marker, but he doesn't move any closer to it, and certainly doesn't touch it. Eventually though, his eyes do break away and he realizes that his network device has once again decided to put his life on public display.]

[Solomon walks past the stone memorial to lean on the rail and look out over the City's skyline. Without his usual pleasant expression on his features, he sighs and reluctantly glances back at the device.]
