[Solomon sits close to the monitor, apparent displeasure on his face as he tries to change the settings on the computer. He doesn't appear to be wearing anything on his upper body, the only part of him that is in view. He mutters darkly under his breath.]

Damn this infernal device! It's like it has a mind of it's own!

[He gives up trying to switch it to audio or text only, and resigned to his fate, addresses the camera.]

Miss Sahl... if you are receiving this. (May I simply call you Lilith? I feel that our association at the hospital has passed the point of such formalities.) Ah, anyway... I am needing to take a personal day and will be unable to make it in for my shift today. My apologies for any inconvenience that this will cause, but it would be for the best if I didn't show up under these circumstances.

And to my dear friend Dr. Disraeli, I'm afraid that for the very same reasons, I will be late tonight. Please expect me after midnight...

Just over a week. But I seem to be... adapting. It takes a little getting used to sometimes... adjusting to a place such as this.

Everyone keeps saying that this place is very strange. I was speaking with someone earlier who said that he was stuck to his brother yesterday, and they blamed that on this city. I think it sounds like he might have been a little mad.

Yes, I quite understand. I have thought that myself about some of the things I've heard people claim here.

Madness, mass hysteria, some hallucinogenic agent administered to people... so many possibilities it could have been. Or might be to explain what they are calling 'curses'.

I'm afraid that I have yet to figure things out.
