There's really no need for apologies and bonuses; it's nothing that most people wouldn't do if an acquaintance was in danger of being killed by a vampire. Er... not that you seemed to be in any real peril, on reflection, circumstances being what they were. Don't fret about the closet bit, either. It's certainly not the first time I've been in such a situation, and I highly doubt it will be the last!
