85th Devotion: Catching up

It seems the most recent curse bypassed me, but my resources have spoken of a Shadow City? I'm interested in hearing about people's experiences with this other place.

Saya, I've noticed that you haven't been at the apartment much since last weekend. Is something wrong?

Unfortunately we've lost a few valued members of our organization. While I understand that this is inevitable in this City, it still makes things a bit trying. I believe it's time for us to be more proactive in our research, especially with the threat that any one of us might be gone tomorrow.

Please note that Mr. Temple, and Mr. Kuran are no longer with us. Both of these men seemed to have the knowledge that they were no longer going to be here... which can only make me wonder why some are whisked away without a word, and others have time to prepare. Perhaps we should start taking note of such disappearances to see if there's a pattern.

Given how often people seem to leave we would not be short of test subjects, at the very least.

That's quite true. Perhaps we should take another head count at those in our organization. Some of our members haven't checked in in awhile...

Interesting is an appropriate word. I feel as if I hardly know this place at all with how quickly things change.

The City changes constantly, its citizens too - makes you wonder how stable it is, doesn't it.

I'm sorry for how I behaved during this last curse. It's a little embarrassing to think so I've been avoiding it, I guess. That isn't exactly fair though.

I can occasionally sense something of the Shadows, but nothing more.

Well, it was what one person referred to it as. I'm not aware of it having a formal name.

So it would seem. Although it hasn't been determined if there's any pattern as to who would have such a warning. Between this and the Shadow City, it seems as if our organization will have a lot of new projects to explore.
