69th Devotion: Business Prospects and Personal Matters

As some of you may know, the ARTEMIS Organization has been working on reproducing a form of Blood Tablet that had been available in Mr. Kuran's world. After much work, I’ve developed what I believe to be an accurate duplicate of these tablets, but I would like to ask for any volunteers to give their opinion of the finished product. And of course, I will honor any requests for anonymity should you wish it. Would anyone be interested in joining this study?

I assure you, it has been thoroughly tested and is quite safe for consumption.

Well, they don't have to be taken as a pill. Mr. Kuran had informed me that many of his colleagues would add them to water... they almost instantly dissolve into a blood like consistency that way.

I must congratulate you, Doctor Goldsmith. It took us several years to perfect the blood tablets, and even then, the taste was not as appetizing.

Why yes. He brought them to me for analysis when I took on this job... I think they should be pretty accurate when compared to the originals.

Well, you were working from scratch, were you not? It's far simpler when you have the finished product to analyze and reproduce. But, I wouldn't be so hasty in your congratulations. If you found the originals not very appetizing, I'm afraid that these will taste about the same.

I believe it will be beneficial to do this sampling of the product to see where it can be improved upon. Of course, this will take more time...

To tell you the truth, I didn't have time to candy coat it in something more palatable to the vampiric eye...

This is only the first sampling of the product. I expect that more work will need to go into it before it's perfected.

I have grown used to such medicinal taste, and so I would not mind it. Improvement would still be welcomed though, as I'm sure the students of the night class would prefer a taste closer to real blood.
