With all the incidents occurring in the city lately, I have worried... they say to let your children make their own mistakes, but perhaps there's such a thing as having too much. Dear ones, forgive me for not being there when you've needed me. I shouldn't have spent all my time at the office... but I'd hoped to give you all a better life... have I failed? Cain, of course I appreciate you wanting to 'lead your own life', as you said. And I am proud of you for that...

I just don't see why this would mean you have to exclude the possibility of some sort of family bond to help you when you need it. Is it wrong of me to want to be supportive?
