NON NON NON NON NON!!!!
[The sound of a sudden high pitched shriek fills the air, followed by the little pitter patting of tiny feet as a three year old Solomon races into the room.]
NO BROCCLY! NO!!!!!!!!!!!
[In a move of desperation, he races to the nearest fortress that can save him from the horrors, darting underneath the desk in his office to quickly hide from sight.]
BAD BROCCLY! DON'T WANT!!!!

What is it about broccoli that you don't like?
Re: [Video]
[His face lights up, pleased to hear someone speaking in a familiar way. Here was someone he could understand... well, as much as any adult...]
Broccly is lumpy! An' tastes bad! Broccly is BAD... it's GREEEEEEEEEEN!
[His little face squinches up as it describes the horrid vegetable.]
Re: [Video]
[He makes vague shape with his hands trying to mimic the shape of sprigs of broccoli, after which his eyes dart up to see if the man in the box understands.]
Broccly is trees!
Mm, so the broccoli's been left as is. It's only as lumpy as a muffin, really, though, isn't it?
.... Silly man! Muffin's are BROWN!
um.... Solomon caterpillar would like a lumpy green cupcake...
[...well. Manipulating children is socially acceptable to a point. And he's interested to see what happens.]
[He siiiiighs]
Have you ever heard of cocoons?

I'll be right back.
[He stands up and hurries off. About two minutes later, he comes back, cheerfully brandishing a picture book. That he was able to find. The Library clearly WANTS him to procrastinate, stupid thing.]
Here! Story!
[Sitting back down, he opens the book and turns it so that the pictures display on the video. He speaks in his best reading-a-book voice, which, for some reason, emphasises the Lancastrian undertones in his accent.]
The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
In the light of the moon, a little egg lay on a leaf...
[He continues on through the book, his voice expressive and, well, this is a fun way to procrastinate.]
Even afterward, his eyes remain large and fixed on the box on the desk, and he waits with bated breath for what the man will say next.]
aaaAAaaah~!!!
Now, you see, you can learn something from the Very Hungry Caterpillar. If you eat too many sweets, you'll end up with a tummy ache. But if you eat fruit, and your greens, like a good caterpillar, you'll feel much better. And eventually, you'll turn into a butterfly. Isn't that better?
Broccly makes butterflies? Will I be pretty?
Re: [Video]
Solomon caterpillar would be a PRETTY butterfly! An' an' I could flyyyy...
[He wants to laugh SO BADLY.]

Heehee~ okay, merci! Bye bye!
