89th Devotion: Drumming up the Ranks

Due to recent departures in the City, the ARTEMIS Organization is currently seeking individuals with skills in research, investigation, and archival work to fill our ranks. We are an open minded group, willing to utilize any skill set whether in medicine, science, or magic, and even have a few entry level positions for those wishing to learn.

That being said, one of my employees, a Harold Saxon, hasn't shown up for work in some time yet his portrait hasn't shown up in the Hall of the Missing. His last post seemed a bit... concerning, so I felt it worth asking now that other personal matters have calmed down and I have the time. Would anyone happen to know of his whereabouts?

Mr. Saxon, if you wished to tender your resignation, you simply had to let me know. But if you're unwell and wish to retain your job, we can work with you and give you a leave of absence.

And why would that be? You'll find that my organization doesn't discriminate against a person's species... although it does perhaps make you more interesting to me.

As for the lab's location, I'll transmit directions. You'll receive them shortly...

I've had poor reactions to people learning I'm not human before, humans and Inderlander's back in my homeworld don't really get along. I wasn't sure if you were human or something else. It seemed like it'd be a better choice to be upfront about what I am. I'm a vampire.

A vampire, really... well, you've nothing to be concerned about in my case. I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt, rather than to fall victim to irrational prejudices. But from personal experience, I know that others in the City are not so open minded...

It does seem to be the case that people want to think the worst... but then, it's easy to only see things from one point of view.
