122nd Devotion: Quality Time with the Rival

[Video/Action]

[One moment Solomon Goldsmith is out enjoying the view of the city's lights below from his balcony, and in the next moment his environment abruptly shifts into a bright interior room. His face shows some sign of annoyance at this, but not the typical shock or hysteria that is often evidenced by others in the City. After all, Solomon has been going through such inconveniences like this for longer than most.

Instead, he looks down at the splattered mess of his deep red beverage staining the light carpeting and gives a slight tug on the handcuff now encircling his wrist. With narrowed eyes, he looks askance at the cello bow being held by the other man's captive hand.]

...Haji. Of course.

Okay. I just heard this guy say your name and... thought I would check on you. Something about the way he said it.

This looks all complicated. Is your cello okay? [Of course Jill would also worry about the instrument.]

It is unharmed as well, the strings did not snap. [And really, it's the LEAST his cello has been through.]

Good. That would have been a tragedy. Those things are so expensive.

I've always managed repairs when necessary. It would have been fine.

So I guess it isn't as uncomfortable as it could be, being handcuffed to him, since you know him.

I'm well. Nothing seems to be weird here so, I think all is as it should be.

Okay well you didn't sound too happy with him when you said his name.

He spilled my drink... and it's a little disconcerting to find oneself teleported so suddenly.

Baking soda might help get that stain out of the carpet.

I suppose I could try that... I was thinking of just having the carpeting replaced ~~again~~.

Maybe. Or maybe you should have the City reimburse you since it cursed you in the first place.

Well, that is an interesting proposal... but the City is sadly devoid of lawyers. I believe the only one to come to the City has instead taken the position as the head of the Police Department.
