109th Devotion: Survival at Any Cost

[Accidental Video]
[Solomon stumbles backwards to press his back against the wall of a nearby building, his usual calm splintering as he takes in his surroundings. His eyes dart around in a bewildered panic and his hands instinctively reach for something that should be at his side but isn't. The chevalier's voice is hushed, his breathing coming quick as he utters a flurry of words not meant to be heard by anyone in particular.]

No no no no no! Where is it? What happened?!

[ooc: Solomon's memories have faded to the point where he isn't remembering the City or even any of his life as a Chevalier (Chiropteran), which brings him back to when he was last human... Lovely World War 1. The Great War. The War to End All Wars~. ^^ *Down Memory Lane event + grab bag 'Y am I the Last Man Standing?' for the win! \o/]

Why... I was told this area was currently safe. Have you heard otherwise?

And might I ask your name and assuming this isn't France as Gremio stated nationality, Madam?

Codename April of her Majesty's army. It's as safe as god and country can make it, but better to be certain then worry about happy trigger fingers considering your current mental state.

Her Majesty? You serve Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands?

I appreciate your concern. Is there a safe house somewhere I can go to for shelter?

[recites Solomon's address like she's always known it. Realistically, she just looked it up in the phonebook]

You should be safe there.

[identity profile] favoritetraitor.livejournal.com 2011-01-17 07:17 am (UTC)(link)
How do I get there? I don't know these streets...

[ooc: Sorry. O.O Seemed the logical thing for him to ask.]

[It's a good thing she knows her way around the city and recognizes Solomon's current position. In a clear, crisp tone, she gives the directions to his home.]

Once there, wait until midnight before making any sudden moves. If someone comes into the safe house, pretend you know him. Someone will contact you in the morning with your new platoon division and mission.

You won't have any problems with that, I'm sure.

[Mostly, she just needed to get him off the streets before he injured himself or others. She already knew the basics and which side he had worked on back in the war. Although how he came from there... She didn't think this guy would know.]

I understand.

[He pauses for a moment, his head turning away to glance off in the distance before turning his attention back to the device.]

A lovely young woman from this area has volunteered to tend to my needs. [Said innocently from the standpoint of someone from the early 1900's.] She can be trusted, yes?

[identity profile] bill-to-sis.livejournal.com 2011-01-21 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
[Not like she knows who it is but...]

Perhaps. If she's a true native, she'll be of great help, but don't let slip anything more then you have.

[How's that for food for though Solomon? What have you let slipped?]

Yes, that would be for the best I suppose. I wouldn't have thought the fairer sex as capable of any duplicity whatsoever, except for that Dutch woman who was arrested in Paris for aiding the enemy last February.

[He shakes his head at the thought.] Such a shame if it turns out to be true. I imagine it would warrant the death penalty.

Better venture on the side of caution then dead in a ditch, wouldn't you say?

[He obviously doesn't have a clue how prevalent female spies were. Then again, that is why they were so successful.]

Yes, I suppose so. I'll try to be careful...
