41st Devotion: Contemplating the Past

[Filtered away from Saya]

Is there such a thing as redemption for the past? Can a person ever progress beyond what life has handed them? Or are they forever stained beyond any hope of forgiveness of their circumstances...

An idle thought, but one which I would be interested in hearing others opinions about...

[Private to Aya]

Things such as family? Trust?

I don't discount the possibility of redemption, Mr. Goldsmith. I discount the notion that there is always hope of forgiveness.

Trust seems to be an even more delicate ideal... so fragile. Hard to attain, harder to keep. But something to strive for, if the end goal is important enough...
